About Us
Maria Amesbury is a hugely experienced qualified teacher, currently teaching at Bath University in the single language options and post-graduate programmes. Originally from Ruvo di Puglia in the beautiful Apulia region of Southern Italy, Maria taught English at High School level.
Maria first came to England in 1978 when she was offered a position to teach Italian in a school in Bristol. Since then she has taught Italian and related subjects at many levels and in several institutions in the southwest of England.
Maria currently teaches at Bath University and runs her own Italian cooking class at Stoke Lodge, in Bristol.
Through her teaching experience, Maria has developed a “humanistic approach” that will help all the students to become confident whatever learning strategy or style they might have.
